Ambazonia – Why the infighting runs deep – The Muyuka killing of Godfather – Case Study
AMBAZONIA – WHY THE INFIGHTING RUNS DEEP. MUYUKA CASE STUDY.

When these young guys heard the call to arms from diaspora, they all joined #ambaBoys with the idea of fighting to liberate homeland from LRC. Never did they know that their end will come at the end of other amba Boys.
The general public believe that Ayaba Cho Lucas and his general Ivo killed Godfather and smally. That is not accurate. The story is complicated at times, but here is the real story, the short and uncomplicated version.
GodFather, Smally aka Slyzi were all ambaBoys operating around Muyuka. They were killed in mid-2018 by General Killer, BECAUSE of money. These boys were from poor backgrounds, some of them have been in and out of prison even before the revolution in 2016.
Godfather had extorted over 25 million Frs CASH from a Nigerian Businessman we know him as FM. The Nigerian businessman has since relocated to recover in Nigeria. I have spoken with him, and this story can be authenticated.
Godfather spent most of the 25 million Frs on drugs, girls, and gave some to his family. He was almost always high on all kinds of hard drugs. When Sako Ikome and Chris Anu heard that Godfather extorted that large amount of (25M Frs) money, they wanted their own share. Godfather did not have anything left. Sako Ikome and Chris Anu sent other amba boys, namely General Killer to “arrest” Godfather.
At that time, the spokesman for Fako, Alias Manager, real name Valery Nnabi led the team that went and executed Godfather and Smally aka Slyzi. Manager Valery Nnabi was in charge, he took late Abasolo aka General Killer. Manager and Killer went and literally captured Godfather and smally, and slaughtered them like animals, because they ate all the money without sharing it.
General Nambere, (Who has since surrendered to LRC) then captured Manager and his gang, tortured them very well, and held them at the point of death.
General Ivo of ADF only heard what had happened, and went to Nambere and asked that Manager Valery Nnabi and killer should be released and taken to hospital.
Paul Nilong is very aware of these incidents, he was one of the ones coordinating the events on the ground. He was instrumental in the Mbonge LGA at the time.
Today, the Ambazonia fight has been transformed into a fight for financial and political benefits and criminality. The infighting and divisions run very deep. Some people sit abroad and control amba boys on the ground to kidnap and send them ransom money.
- = On 13 December 2018, ADF vs SOCADEF in Munyenge, resulted in 18 fighters being killed, their bodies burnt and buried. We covered it up.
- = On 15 December 2018, 12 fighters were killed when ADF attacked ARF in Guzang Batibo, Momo.
- = On 21 December 2018, General Ivo himself was setup and killed by other amba boys in Teke.
- = A year later, Abasolo, aka General Killer was killed by LRC military.
- = On 31 December 2019, General Nambere defected – went to Yaoundé.
- = In March 2021, Valery Nnabi aka Manager also surrendered to LRC and accepted amnesty.
So to conclude,
- 1. Yes, it is true that General Killer took part in the killing of Smally & Godfather, but General Ivo and Ayaba Cho had nothing to do with it.
- 2. Many ambaBoys joined this fight as a means to make personal financial profit, so they carried the guns and used it to steal, extort money, kidnap for ransoms etc
- 3. Amba vs amba infighting on Facebook and killings on GZ have been going on from the very beginning and will never stop, because money is the prime objective of many ambazonians, and independence is not their primary objective, it is just a cover story they use to join the revolution.
We have covered these things in the past because we thought it would “tarnish” the image of the revolution, but it has instead escalated. It was a mistake to cover it up. Now we have to tell the truth to our people and apologise for the lies and manipulations of yesteryears. If we do not base a revolution on truth, it will never succeed. At the end of several years of fighting, after the sacrifices, loss of lives and properties, if this revolution fails, we will have ourselves to blame. And the truth is that.. RIGHT NOW, we are NOT winning. Too many factions, too much infighting, too much selfishness and self-interests. We have 3 interim Governments with three presidents.
We owe it to ourselves to do a reality check and correct the mistakes of the past, else we are doomed to fail.
